Desert is the known facet of Rajasthan. It is the only desert state of India where one can see the vast stretch of barren land full of sand dunes, hills and plains. Basically, Rajasthan desert is a greater part of the Thar Desert which sprawled across the western part of India and the southeastern Pakistan. Out of 446000 sq km of Thar Desert, the Rajasthan Desert covers the area of 208110 sq km.
